Family business

LLC “Alashkert Group” was founded in 1996 in Tashir town, Lori region, as a family enterprise by the Ruben Harutyunyan’s family.

Cheese production

The company is specialized in the field of the cheese production.At the present time, about fifteen different types of cheese are produced: Lori, Alashkert, Chanakh, Chanakh in brine, Chechil, Suluguni, Khasturi, Lalvar, Holland, Gouda, Maasdam, Gouda with spices, etc.

Сooperation with farms

The location of the cheese factory gives an opportunity to organize milk procurement from farms located on alpine and subalpine pastures and meadows of Tashir and Stepanavan. Milk produced in this region has such physicochemical-biological features, due to them it obtains unique technological features, taste and smell.

During all the years of its activity, the company has actively cooperated with various international organizations promoting the development of rural areas and agriculture, has realized numerous programs aimed at improving the quality and quantity of milk production, as well as the development of the cheese industry.

Since 2001, the products have been exported to Russia and the United States of America. Since 2012, the company has implemented the HACCP food safety system and it is certified by the international certificate ISO 22000-2018.
